National Academy Museum and School: Gala 2015 & Auction at Gotham Hall
(February 25, 2015)
I donated my cyanotype artwork (part of Winter Portfolio among 10 artists from National Academy School) for the silent auction to benefit the National Academy Museum and School.
Title: Geometries (sold)
Artist: Poramit Thantapalit
Size: 11"x15"
Year: 2014
Medium: Cyanotype Arches Aquarelle
Gotham Hall, 1356 Broadway, New York, NY 10018
This year the Academy honor National Academician, Eric Fischl, and celebrate his exceptional contributions to the fields of painting and sculpture with a Lifetime Achievement Award. The award will be presented by tennis Hall of Famer and passionate art collector, John McEnroe.
This fund raiser gathers nearly 300 guests from the worlds of art, architecture, design, business, and the New York philanthropic community in support of the Academy's invigorating programs. Their silent auction features art from over 30 National Academician artists and architects and 21 artists from the Academy School.
Proceeds from the Gala directly supports exhibitions, education, free public programs, and the new Young Artists Scholarship program providing full scholarships to underserved middle school students, enabling them to pursue their artistic training.
