The Utility ARTBox Project: Main Street Hackensack NJ (July, 2017)
My design is selected for “The Utility ARTBox Project” by The Hackensack Creative Arts Team and ArtsBergen - Northern New Jersey Community Foundation (NNJCF). I will be one of five artists to paint murals on the utility boxes in the city of Hackensack, NJ. Artist: Poramit Thantapalit Title: Think Before You Drop It Description of my design This artwork will be warning people to pay attention before littering. Using a monster cartoon figure as a watchdog to warn people where they should drop their trash. The monster figure will make people think before drop it. Location: 238 Main Street (Corner of E. Press: PROJECT LOCATION AND SCOPE OF WORK The Utility ARTBox Project is funded in part by a Clean Communities Grant, with a primary focus on litter prevention. Therefore, each box will serve as a canvas for a painted mural that illustrates a clear message of anti-littering / litter prevention / how littering damages a community and how anti-littering behavior betters a place.
