Madrid Grafica 2019 at Casa del Reloj, Madrid Spain
(October 1 - November 3, 2018)
I participated in poster design event at "Ciudad Sostenibles" (Sustainable cities) the third edition of Madrid Gráfica. My poster "Sustainable Energy" will be displayed at Casa del Reloj (Junta Municipal de Arganzuela) in Madrid from October 3 - 19, 2019.
Title: Sustainable Energy
Designer: Poramit Thantapalit
Size: 120 x 161 cm
Medium: Poster
Sustainable Cities are the cities which have good strategies of using energy, cleaner methods of producing energy and employ energy conservation. The image of the electrical outlet in the poster reminds people to consume smart uses of energy such as solar energy, wind energy, hydropower, geothermal energy, and biomass energy. Sustainable energy is energy that is derived from a fuel that is renewable or will never run out. This results in minimal environmental impact.

The collective exhibition is part of the third edition of Madrid Gráfica, Madrid's great graphic design event organized by the City Council through the Madrid Business Forum and DIMAD.
The motto of this call is Sustainable Cities, taking into account that 70% of the world's population lives in large cities that barely occupy 2% of the total land area. This huge urban population consumes 60% of all available resources: energy, food, water, among others. They are also the big cities, responsible for the highest pollution rates and where most of the solid waste produced on the planet is generated. But also, in parallel, it is in the big cities where talent is concentrated and much of university life, where more economic resources are reinvested and where business activity is more intense and cultural life is more active.
The Sustainable City is number 11 of the 17 global objectives of the United Nations Organization. And it is this concept that encourages a growing reflection and concern in universities, companies and laboratories of ideas that generally place three parameters that sustainable cities must meet: social sustainability, economic sustainability, and ecological sustainability. Thus, the main challenge for innovation in the city in our decade occurs within the framework of sustainability, understood as a broad and transversal concept and not only environmental.
Almost 500 participants from 54 countries around the world
The 100 posters selected will be exhibited at Plaza Juan Goytisolo, Plaza Oriente and Casa del Reloj (Junta Municipal de Arganzuela)
All posters received will be displayed at Casa del Reloj (Junta Municipal de Arganzuela)
