County of Bergen Art Exhibit: Hidden Under the Sea (June 26 - September 29, 2017)
James J. Tedesco III and the Board of Chosen Freeholders present an art installation: "Hidden Under the Sea", by Hackensack resident and artist, Poramit Thantapalit. A unique art installation consisting of recycled material and Cyanotype Prints. The artist has salvaged, everyday discarded items and transformed them into surreal vignettes of beauty and wonder. Through his strong sense of vision he has taken disposable items such as plastic bottles, paper, old material, foam, nylon cable ties, electrical cords, wires, sewing thread and morphed them into other-worldly organisms that demand the viewer’s attention and awe. The Cyanotype photogram is a photograph made without a camera by placing objects directly onto a paper coated with a solution and exposing it to UV light.
