"Life Under the Sea" (March 2017) Installation by Poramit Thantapalit (Size: 96"x44"x16" each) “Life Under the Sea,” installation is displayed in three glass cases at Johnson Public Library. They made from recycled materials and cyanotype photogram, a photographic printing process using an ultra violet light source that produces a cyan-blue print. This installation features sculptures made of recycled material such as coral flowers and sea urchins made of electric cord and cable ties, a coral reef made of 7-UP bottles and floating bubbles made of paper mache. The background images in the glass cases are photogram of the recycled sculptures. Photogram is a photograph made without a camera by placing objects directly onto a photographic paper.
