(October 19 - November 11, 2016) My "Cyanoture: Sustainable Blue" installation proposal has been selected into "Where is Eleven O"Clock?" exhibition at Open Doors Arts Festival in Newark, NJ Title: Cyanoture: Sustainable Blue Artist: Poramit Thantapalit Meduim: Installation Size: 25' x 13' x13' Year: 2016 Description: Installation included 3 recycled plastic bottle free-standing sculptures (Under the Sea) , 9 plastic bag mobile sculptures (Colorful Jellyfish) and wall installation of cyanotype print (210"x136") and "Coral Flowers" sculpture made of cable ties and electric cords. CYANOTURE: SUSTAINABLE BLUE Cyanoture = Cyanotype + Sculpture Combining cyanotype from recycled materials sculpture. Keeping our nature cleaner and healthier by considering the idea of reduce, reuse, recycle, saving energy and making the eco-friendly choice. Turn trash into a piece of art. The theme is futuristic life under the sea. All sculptures in the installation made of recycled materials such as plastic bottle, plastic bags, paper, electric cords and etc. Also my "Building Block Cyanotype Paper Dress" has been displayed at the same exhibition. For four days, Newark’s bustling arts scene will explode with an array of exhibits, talk-backs, performances, street displays, studio open houses, and more. The citywide arts tour and community event celebrates Newark’s unique and diverse contributions to the arts and to American culture. More than 40 venues will join forces to showcase visual, performing, and literary art. In 2016, the festival will run concurrently with the Dodge Poetry Festival and the Newark Celebration 350, which marks the city’s 350th birthday.
