Recycle Spring Juried Show 2016 24th Annual Spring Pier Show May 7 - June 12, 2016 • weekends 1-6 pm My recycled plastic bottles sculpture "Under the Sea" is exhibited at Recycle 2016, the Brooklyn Waterfront Artists Coalition’s national juried show of art crafted from cast-off, discarded, and re-purposed materials. "Under the Sea" was one of 70 pieces selected from 850 entries to display in the show by Juror, Harriet Taub, Executive Director of Material for the Arts. Location BWAC, Brooklyn Waterfront Artists Coalition, 481 Van Brunt St Brooklyn, NY 11231. (Door 7 at the pier gate across from Fairway and down the block from IKEA) How to get there 1. BY FERRY: Take NY Water Taxi (IKEA shuttle) from Pier 11 to Red Hook/Fairway. The ferries take about 25-minute depart every 50 minutes and run from 11:30am to 8:40pm (free on weekend). view schedule Pier 11 is located in downtown Manhattan on South Street between Wall Street and Gouveneur Lane. Take MTA subway #2 and #3 to Wall St. Walk down Wall St. 2 blocks to South Street. Turn right on South Street. Pier 11 will be on the left. 2. BY TRAIN: The B61 (G and F train to Smith/9th) and the B57 & B61 (A and F train to Jay Street) buses go to Van Brunt & Beard stop. 3. BY CAR: FROM MANHATTAN Brooklyn Bridge becomes Adams St, make a right on to Atlantic Ave, left on Columbia St, right on to DeGraw. Left on to Van Brunt and continue on Van Brunt to end. FROM BROOKLYN Northwest on Hamilton Ave, make a left on to Van Brunt. Continue on Van Brunt to end.
