"Cyanotype: Printing With the Sun" Workshop

They have a chance to work with sunlight outside and UV LED light on both paper and fabric I included some info during the workshop for your future reference (below). If you have any questions. You can leave them in the comment or at the contact form How to create cyanotype: 1. Coat solution on paper in the darkroom and let it dry. 2. Put your object or negative film on top of you coated paper 3. Expose your paper in the sun or UV light for about 10-20 minutes. 4. Rinse the paper in water for 30 minutes and let it dry. Material Used: 1. Cyanotype solution (Potassium ferricyanide and Ferric ammonium citrate) 2. Watercolor or printmaking paper 4. Hydrogen peroxide for speeding up oxidation to fully develop the blue image 5. Lemon juice or vinegar for toning in teal color. Where to buy the materials: Links:

During this workshop, participants will learn how to mix and apply chemistry to paper and print unique cyanotypes using a sunlight exposure. This workshop is open to adults at all levels. Most materials will be provided, but participants should bring the following supplies: at least two watercolor or printmaking papers (size 8"x10" or smaller), pencil, tape, scissor/cutter and latex gloves.
