"Cyanotype: Printing With the Sun" Workshop
Instructor: Poramit Thantapalit Location: Rockland Center for the Arts Date: Sunday, October 27, 2024, 1-4 pm More info at rocklandartcenter.org This is my 4rd cyanotype workshop at RoCA. Thanks to all participants and RoCA for giving me the opportunity to have this workshop. Photos of some amazing prints they made. They have a chance to work with sunlight outside and UV LED light on both paper and fabric I included some info during the workshop for your future reference (below). If you have any questions. You can leave them in the comment or at the contact form How to create cyanotype: 1. Coat solution on paper in the darkroom and let it dry. 2. Put your object or negative film on top of you coated paper 3. Expose your paper in the sun or UV light for about 10-20 minutes. 4. Rinse the paper in water for 30 minutes and let it dry. Material Used: 1. Cyanotype solution (Potassium ferricyanide and Ferric ammonium citrate) 2. Watercolor or printmaking paper 4. Hydrogen peroxide for speeding up oxidation to fully develop the blue image 5. Lemon juice or vinegar for toning in teal color.
